CLANSMAN RESUMES. TASMAN DUE NEXT WEEK. The American motor ship Tampa, 4694 tons, Captain Arkins, which put into Auckland on August 17 when on a voyage from Australian ports to New York, Boston and Montreal, via Panama and Norfolk, Virginia, will sail this afternoon. She was diverted from her course to land an officer of the vessel who was seriously ill but lias since recovered. While in port some necessary repairs were made to her tailsliaft, for which work she had to be docked. The vessel came out of dock yesterday afternoon and went to Western wharf. The attention of masters of all vessels leaving port is drawn to the regulations now in force requiring a special clearance to lie obtained from the Collector of Customs. All vessels entering or leaving port must stop and report to the examining vessel, the Northern Company's steamer Hauiti, which, is at anchor off the Duder Spit buoy, Kangitoto Channel. The Clansman, which was damaged by striking the reef off Cape Colville last month, resumes her running to Whakatane to-day. The South Pacific Line steamer Tasman is due from . Saigon on September 14.
