Xo. 2 giass track was open for fast work at Eilerslie this morning, and the going was iairly good until heavy rain commenced just after the breakfast interval. Later the glass track was closed and all work was confined to the sand.

Silver Stick (.Fanell), alter running his first furlong in 12 1-os, completed half a mile in 51s, tlie best of the morning over the distance. Francis Drake (FarreH) ran two lurlongs in 25s and continued on to complete five 111 l.(j 2-3. He handled the yoing well. Koyai Appeiiunt (.Buchanan) uni&ned up uselui wjik by traversing Ins last hall-mile in jtis, and Mahala (\aughan) covered a similar distance in 555. Alter running his lirst furlong in i 2 2-ss, Pern (barrel)) got to the end ot four in 31 3-ss. Xight Pilot (Gilchrist.) and Beau Peri 1 Markw ick J were sprinted down the straignt, liittiiijj out in good style. Trilliarch (.Kerr) reeled oil half a mile in 54 l-ss. after going fast early to run his Hist furlong in 12 2-os. Lutanist (FarreH) completed four furlongs in 51 3-ss, the first furlong taking 12 4-ss..Bees-wing (Iverr) was-going easily while traversing her last three furlongs in 425. Miss Appellant (Gilchrist) came home from the six-furlong post in 1.22 3-5. She was assisted over the last half mile by Every Port (Vaughan), the latter distance taking .54 4-ss. Going comfortably, Valspear (Hearn) strode over live furlongs in 1.10 2-o, and Mintlaw (Coon) was holding Water Fox (Markwick) at the conclusion of half a mile in 53 l-ss. Bonuybelle (Mcsservy) and British Talent (Tremain) ran tour furlongs in 53 l-ss, British Talent, who was on the outside, impressing meet. On the Sand. Land Gill (D. Green) and Royal Huntress (Simon) were given useful work, their last three furlongs being covered in 435. Waitarma (Gilchrist) and J'ahnint (Hearn) ran three furlongs in 3'J 2-5s-There was little between them and they were kept up to their work. Trevace (Bevan) ran his last four furlongs in 55 4-ss. and The Trimmer (Green) and Bight Royal (Simon) strode over a round, finishing up with a sprint down the straight. Glen Abb (Tremain) came home from the three-furlong post in 43s and Bov Lu (Kerr) traversed the same distance in 42a, the Tea Tray—Kildeer representative taking the same time. Spinning Wheel (Murray) was doing better than Dick Turpin (Hearn) at the end of five in 1.10 3-3. Beverley (Hearn) was hitting out well over the last half mile of his work, which he covered in 55 l-ss, and Tupeotu (Cameron) did strong work over a round, his last half mile taking 55 4-ss.

Bisquit (H. Turner) gave a first-class display over two hurdles. He afterwards worked over a round on No. 2 grassr, running his last seven furlongs in 1.44 3-5 and the final half mile in 58 3-os.
