TWO YEARS' DETENTION.

NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. \ A motor service proprietor, James George Williamson, convicted last week of illegal use of an instrument, was sentenced by Mr. Justice Reed this morning to reformative detention for a period of two years.
A motion for a new trial on the ground of misdirection, of" the 'jury and that the verdict was against the weight of evidence was filed by prisoner's counsel.
