A.vletter wis received bv the TakaCoun <#W night from Jx/ mata War'xjur Bridge Association asking that tHe council call a public meeting in Takapuna with the object of passing a resolution calling uppn the Government either to erect the widge or set up Ihe promised inquiry immediately. It was decided to call a meeting next Thursday evening in the council chambers and to ask the Harbour Bridge and Automobile Associations and various unions to send speakers, and that Mr, W. J. Lyons, M.P. for Waitemata, be asked to attend.
