PROFESSORIAL BOARD POST

i Two nominations have been received for the position of chairman of the Auckland University Colle-e Professorial Board. The candidates are Professor Maxwell "Walker, professor of modern languages, and Professoi .Tames Rutherford, professor of history. The nomination- closed at noon today and the election "ill be held next Friday. The result will lie announced at the meeting of the board on the following Monday. The post was made vacant by the expiry of the term of the present chairman Professor W. A. Scwell, who has held office for the past three years.
