CREDIT COMPANY'S YEAR.
AN INCREASE IN EARNINGS
A net trading profit of £10,435 is imported by the directors of the Credit atul Investment Corporation, Limited, Auckland, for the year ended .June 30. This compares; with ±'7000 declared for the first year of operation. The amount brought in is £500 and £30l is added as additional profits applying to the 1938 year, making a balance of £11.286. Final dividends proposed bring the distribution on preference shares to the fixed rate of QVz per cent per annum and that on ordinary shaves to 8 per cent per annum against 6% per cent in the previous year. The year's dividends require £452"" and £4428 is reserved for income tax and social security tax on the basis of the 1939-40 Budget, £250 for directors' fees and £1 1/ for legal fees, leaving £2080 to be carried forward. The retiring directors, Messrs. H. V. Coe and Elon Bond, are available for re-election.
