MONTEREY ARRIVED.

TURAKINA FOR LONDON. MAIMOA GOES SOUTH. POET HUXTEK DISCHARGING. The Matson liner Monterey arrived from San Francisco, via way ports, shortly after 7 a.m. to-day and berthed at Queens wharf. She brought 210 passengers for Auckland and has 449 through. About 100 will join her when she sails at 10 o'clock to-night for Sydney and Melbourne. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina, Captain T. B. Laird, will sail to-night for London. Avoiiinouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. She goes via Panama and is due at London on September 12. The Shaw Savill and Albion .-tenner Maimoa, which arrived from Liverpool on Monday, will complete discharge of Auckland cargo to-night and leave for Napier, Wellington and South Island ports at 7 a.m. to-morrow. The Port Line steamer Port Hunter, which has been discharging explosives at Motuilii since Monday, came into port at ;> p.in yesterday and berthed at Prince's wharf, where she is discharging

general cargo from London. Shy is e.\ ported to leave for Wellington on Tuesday evening.

Aorangi left Sydney at R p.m. yesterday for Auckland and will arrive at h a.m. on Monday, sailing at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for Vancouver. (U.S.S. Co.)

Paua, the Shell Oil Company's coastal motor tanker, arrived this morning from Wellington, via (Jfcborne, and is berthed at Western wharf. (S.O. Co.)

Kaituna. the A. and A. Line motor ship which left New York on duly it, will arrive next Thursday with general cargo from main ports. (X.Z.S. Co.)

Erlangen is discharging sulphur, oils, bitumen and general cargo at King's wharf from (Julf of Mexico port*, and will leave for Wellington on Tuesday evening. (H. and M.)

Arawa. which arrives next Friday at Wellington from London, is due here on August 17 to complete discharge and start loading. (A.S.P.)

Edward F. Johnson is due to arrive from Palenibanp on August 14 with petrol for the Vacuum Oil Company. (V.O. Co.)

Waimana. which is loading in the south, will arrive here on August 20 from Wmigamii. sailing on August 2ii for London. (L.D.X.)

Empire Star, which left Auckland on July 10 for London, via (ape Horn, it* reported to have rounded the Cape <"i Monday after a \erv smart run of 12 days. (8.5.L.)

Tangaroa. wliicli lias been purchased from the Richardson Line by Waiheke Passage Service. Limited, left Napier for Auckland yesterday, and is due to-mor-row forenoon. She will supplement the RaroonaV calls at all Waiheke luiv-. (W.I'.S.. Ltd.)
