MONTEREY ARRIVED.

TURAKINA FOR LONDON. MAIMOA GOES SOUTH. POET HUXTEK DISCHARGING. The Matson liner Monterey arrived from San Francisco, via way ports, shortly after 7 a.m. to-day and berthed at Queens wharf. She brought 210 passengers for Auckland and has 449 through. About 100 will join her when she sails at 10 o'clock to-night for Sydney and Melbourne. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina, Captain T. B. Laird, will sail to-night for London. Avoiiinouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. She goes via Panama and is due at London on September 12. The Shaw Savill and Albion .-tenner Maimoa, which arrived from Liverpool on Monday, will complete discharge of Auckland cargo to-night and leave for Napier, Wellington and South Island ports at 7 a.m. to-morrow. The Port Line steamer Port Hunter, which has been discharging explosives at Motuilii since Monday, came into port at ;> p.in yesterday and berthed at Prince's wharf, where she is discharging

general cargo from London. Shy is e.\ ported to leave for Wellington on Tuesday evening.

Aorangi left Sydney at R p.m. yesterday for Auckland and will arrive at h a.m. on Monday, sailing at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for Vancouver. (U.S.S. Co.)

Paua, the Shell Oil Company's coastal motor tanker, arrived this morning from Wellington, via (Jfcborne, and is berthed at Western wharf. (S.O. Co.)
