The Matson liner Monterey will arriveat 7 a.m. on Friday from San Francisco, via Los Angeles, Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva, which port ehe left at o p.m. yesterday. She has 219 passengers landing here, and 449 booked through. She will take a further 150 from Auckland when she sails for Sydney and Melbourne at 10 p.m. on Friday. The Port line steamer Port Hunter, which arrived at the powder grounds, Motuihi, yesterday morning with explosives, is discharging there, and will leave her anchorage about 3.30 p.m. to-morrow and berth before 5 p.m. to etart discharge of general cargo from London. The Xorth German Lloyd steamer Erlangen, which arrived yesterday afternoon, berthed this morning at "King's wharf to discharge sulphur, bitumen, oils and general cargo from New Orleans and Ciulf of Mexico ports. Monowai left Vancouver at 11 a.m. to-day for Auckland, via way ports, and is due on Monday, August 21, sailing for Sydney next day. Wanganella arrived at Wellington this morning from Sydney, and sails at 10 p.m. to-morrow on her return. She leaves Sydney on August 12 for Auckland, arriving on August 16. (H.-P.) Awatea, which left Auckland on Monday, arrives at Sydney to-morrow morning, sailing next evening for Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.) Matua is undergoing her annual overhaul and survey at Central wharf, and will be docked for painting on Monday. (U.S.S. Co.) Puriri, the Anchor Line's new motor [ ship, arrived at Onchunga this morning with a full cargo of timber from Greymouth. (X.S.S. Co.) Paua, the Shell Oil Company's coastal tanker, had to lay offshore at Ois borne owing to heavy seas, and is due here on Friday. (Shell Co.)
