HAUL OF SILVER.

PARNELL ROBBERY. THIEVES SEARCH HOUSE. ENTER BY OPEN WINDOW. Thieves who entered the house of Mr. and Mrs. .Milan Yurak, 15, Waitoa Street, Parnell. on Friday night, secured a rich haul when they stole £50 in silver from one room and a 10/ and a £1 note from another room. The silver, which was done up in bundles of £2 each, was stolen from the drawer of a dressingtable. This belonged to Mr. Yurak, who is the proprietor of a restaurant in Customs Street. It was concealed in the drawer under some clothes.

Entrance was gained by a side window which was left open, and as Mr. and Mrs. Yurak were absent from their home until a late hour, the thieves had ample time to carry out a search of the house. A pair of shoes, a pair of stockings and an electric torch were also stolen.
