AUTHORITY FOR TENDERS.

COLLEGES NEW CAFETERIA.

Authority for the acceptance of tenders for the erection of new schools at Hamilton West and , at Mount Albert has been received by the Auckland Education Board. In both ctus,.? tenders were called some time ago.

The school at Hamilton West, which will have a frontage on Fow Street, will have 10 rooms and there will be eleven roome in the Mount Albert school, situated on the old quarry site, which hae been in course of preparation for the past few weeks.

A grant has also been made for the furnishing and fitting up of the cafeteria, which is contained in the new wing of the Teachers' Training College, of which Mr. D. M. Rae is the principal. The cafeteria, when finished, will probably be the most modern in Xew Zealand, and is designed to give quick service to a dining-room that will accommodate 1.50 people at one time.
