SHORE STARRED.

MAIN LEAGUE GAME.

TO MEET MANUKAU SIDE.

RICHMOND TO PLAY MOUNT ALBERT. Pride of place in the Auckland Rugby League's senior competition fixtures, which will be continued on Saturday afternoon, will be given to the North Shore team, which is now at the head of the championship table. Their match with Manukati. on the main ground, should result in a good exhibition of the code. The Shore team in particularly strong in the forwards and as their backs have remarkable defence they are a very difficult team to defeat. The Manukaii form this s®ison has been variable, but the team play bright, open and spectacular football of the kind that the spectators enjoy. If they ;xive one of their best displays and show combination, the issue may be in doubt right to the end. Manukaii should be able to match N'orth Shore with heavy forwards, and it remains to be seen whether the Manukaii backs will be able to overcome the opposition thev will meet. The early match on the Xo. 1 ground will be between Mount Albert and Richmond. and a very close contest may result. Mi.unt Albert wei e the leading team in the competition until deposed by Xorth Shore and they have one of the best teams in Auckland. Marist will meet Papakura in the early match on the No. 2 ground, and the result should be close in view of improved Papakura form of late. Newton have been drawn to meet City in the following' match on the same ground, and it is possible that speed and combination- may carry the former to victory. The Fixtures. »
