Specially Fitted Vessel
For Salvage.
RECOVERY OF SUBMARINE
(Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, June 27. The 3300-ton steamship Zello, a vessel specially fitted out in Cainincll Laird"s shipyard for the ;-alvage of the sunken Thetis will leave Birkenhead to-morrow night for Liverpool Bay, where the submarine lies in 155 feet of water. The Liverpool and Glasgow Salvage Association announced tiiat if the weather conditions are suitable the main salvage operation will begin with the dispatch of salvage craft, lifting wires and other necessary equipment and personnel to the scene of the disaster. C'amniell Lairds stated that the submarine would be taken to Red Wharf Bay, Anglesea, the nearest shallow water. Further decisions would be postponed until that part of the salvage was complete.
