TEN YEARS' SERVICE.
MR. A. G. LUNN RETIRES.
FIRE BOARD PAYS TRIBUTE. Appreciation of the services over 10 years of Mr. A. G. Lunn was expressed at this morning's meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board, when notice was received of Mr. Lunn's retirement as Government representative on the board. "Mr. Lunn has served as a member, as deputy-chairman, and has acted as chairman," commented the chairman, Mr. J. J. Kingstone. "We regret that he has not been reappointed at a time when his advice would have been valuable to the board." Government representative on the flr* board is now Mr. H. W. Mayo. At the meeting this morning Mr. B. Brigham was elected deputy-chairman in place of Mr. Lunn. A member of the Mount Albert Borough Council, Mr. Brigham represents local bodies on the board.
