DEATH OF MAORI GIRL,
(From Our Own Correspondent.) .VHAKATAXE, Friday, j Kviil- net- concerning the death in tin* j Whakatane Hospital of a 10-year-ohl Maori girl, Puliipiihi Paiteriki, of Rua- j toki North, was given when the inquest was concluded before Mr. "G. A. Brabant,' J.P., coroner. Evidence given by the girl's father showed that she had been riding with; her cousin on a quiet pony, and the animal had evidently slipped on the roadside, throwing both girls off and treading en Puhipuhi in its struggles to' recover. j The coroner returned a verdict that ilic girl had died from injuries received when she accidentally fell from a horse she was riding. <
