COLLAPSE DURING OPERATION

VERDICT OF HEART FAILURE

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON', this day. A verdict that death was clue to heart failure was returned by Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M.. coroner, to-day, at an inquest into the death of Samuel Warner \2~), a herd tester, who died suddenly in a private hospital in Hamilton on June 0. Dr. E. X. D'Arey, who administered the anaesthetic, stated that an operation on the tonsil had been completed and anaesthesia had stopped when Warner collapsed. Dr. R. (',. Phillips Turner, who conducted the operation, jravc corroborative evidence, while Dr. M. A. Stewart, who conducted a post-mortem examination, stated the cause of death was heart failure.
