Yarnton, captain of the championship -winning third grade Grammar Schools' Old Boys Rugby sides of 1936 and 1937, and three times a member of the Auckland Brabin Cup junior rep. XI. He has retired from Rugby owing to medical advice, but will carry on as treasurer. He is an old boy of Takapuna Grammar School.
