MATERNITY BENEFITS.
DOCTORS MEET MINISTER.
The Auckland division of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association will have no direct participation to-day in the conference being held in Wellington between the association and the* (iovernment upon the letter's national health pliin in relation to maternity benefits. The associations viewpoint has been handled in the past by its national health insurance Kub-committee, which is composed of a jfioup of direct delegates from every division.
In turn, said the president of the Auckland division, Dr. F. J. Gwynne, yesterday, this sub-committee had appointed its own sub-coin m ittee of four dot-tore to represent it in negotiations witli the Government. It was this second sub-com-mittee, under the chairmanship of Dr. J. P. S. Jamieson, which would attend the conference. There were no Auckland doctors on it.
