TEMPORARY STATE CLERKS

In the belief that their interests could be helped by the creation of a body especially concerned with their welfare, •the temporary clerks within the Government service in Auckland are considering the formation of a temporary clerks' association. This would be a branch of a similar association formed in the south. In the past three years the number of temporary clerks in some Government Departments has greatly increased, and in Auckland there are perhaps several hundred.
