PRIZE NIGHT.

NORTHCOTE REGATTA.

The dancing season opened at Northcote last night, with the annual prizegiving function of the Northcote and Birkenhead Regatta committee, tihere being a large gathering in the King's Theatre. The organisers were Mesdames J. Dickson, T. Boyd, B. Reed, F. Brooking. Misses V. Devlin, J. McGilp, J. Jordan, D. Case, and X. Millener. The muster of cercmonies was Mr. F. E. rielder.

The president. Captain H. H. Sergeant, the Auckland harbourmaster, in presenting the prizes, congratulated the yachtsmen and their helpers in staging a record regatta this year.
