CHEAP GREEN FEES FIXED FOR MUNICIPAL LINKS.
Conditions under which the new municipal golf course at Chamberlain Park, Western Springs, will be open for playwere fixed at last night'a meeting of the Auckland City Council. Green fees for each round of 18 holes or under were fixed for adult players as follow: —Monday to Friday, II; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, 2/6. The I ratee for all-day tickets will be as folj low: —Monday to Friday, 3/; Saturdays, : Sundays and public holidays, 4/. I From Monday to Friday (excepting public holidays) school children under 17 yenrs of asje will be allowed to play one round at the rate of 1/ only. None under 14 will be allowed to play unless accompanied by an adult, and except with the permission of the greenkeeper. A golf professional will not be engaged by the council, but application* will be ■ called for the right to sell golf requisites on the course and to control and allot I caddies. i
