MAYOR PRESENTS TROPHIES.
A statement that he hoped It would not be long before a Canadian or American baseball team visited New Zealand was made by the Mayor. Twentv-two teams from lo clubs, comprising over '100 players, took part In the Canadian Trade Commissioner.' stated that the advent of baseball should lend to greater .understanding between the pejples of North America and >>w Zealand. The prlnes presented were: — K.O. Trophy.—Johns Giants. Ituchanan Cup. —Pioneers Johna Cup.—Lucas, Limited. Kohn Cup.—Milne and Choyce, Limited.
