TALISMAN DUBBO CO. WARDEN'S COURT HEARING. Application was made to the Ohinemuri Mining Warden, Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M.. in the Warden's Court, Paeroa. on Friday by the Talisman Dubbo Cold Mines, I-til!, I'or protection for six - months over the McAdwyn Kxtended, the Talisman Dubbo Extended, the Crown Mines and the I,ittle Imperial special quartz claims. The company also applied for permission to reduce the number of workmen employed from 20 to 2 for a period of 12 months. Objections to both applications were entered by William Graham on behalf of the Thames Miners' Union. It was announced that a conference was being held between the parties and the cases were adjourned by the Court. Applications dealt with by the Warden were :— Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines, T.td.—For a prospecting license over 100 acres at Karangnhako in Block 11. Aroha S.D.—Granted, with the consent of the Minister of Mines. Henry John Clark —For a prospecting license over 100 acres at Maratoto in Black VI. Ohinemuri S.D. —Granted. Edwin Cyril Roberts—For a prospecting license over 20 acres at Waitekauri in Block XIV. Ohinemuri S.D.—Adjourned. GOLDEN CROWN. RICH ORE SPECIMENS. Mr. A. A. Adams, manager of the Golden Crown mine, returned to Auckland to-day from the mine, bringing with him some pieces of selected ore. These are freely impregnated with gold. Mr. Adams state's that tliey were obtained from No. 2 reef at the No. 1 level. Timbering and driving are proceeding, and when the necessary timbers are in position a start will be made to stope this block. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Bundi (West Coast). —640z lldwt smelted gold from 4572 yards in 49 hours. Golden Sands (West Coast). —240z 14dwr in 36 shifts. Time was lost owing to the holidays and a temporary shortage of water. In future wash-ups will be announced in four-weekly periods. Nemona (West Coast). —270z from 9100 yards in 100 hours. Mossy Creek (West Coast). —30oz 14Jwt from 5475 yards in 10.3 hours. Worksop Extended (West Coast).—33oz from 7000 yards in 100 hours. ( '°ast). —34oz for 10S hours and 12,000 yards. Ma taki .1 unction (Murcliison). —32oz of smelted gold for 98 hours and 14,000 yards dredged. STAFFORD LIQUIDATION. ' At an extraordinary meeting of Stafford' Gold Dredging, N.L.. held in Melbourne last week, it was decided to go into liquidation. A dividend of 1 / a share w-.« paid. The chairman, Mr. H. C. Tuck' r" s»i<l that after payment of the liquidation dividend the company would have aujut £2000 in band. It was expected that a further dividend of 3d a share would be distributed.
