INN IN CHURCHYARD.
Church vestry meetings are held in a public house at Claines. near Worcester. The Mug House is believed to be the only English inn standing in a churchyard. Tombstones are within a few feet of the inn door. At Horley, Surrey, schoolchildren talk of going to the Six Bells when they are on their way to Sunday school.
