TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR.
EX-PUPILS' ACTIVITIES. .MEMBERSHIP DISAPPOINTING. Comment on the poor attendance was made at the annual meeting of the Takapuna Grammar School Ex-Pupils' Association in St. Michael's Hall. Belmont. Many of the fifty expupils who attended had been at the school within the past two years. Although attendance at all functions had been good, said the president, Mr. A. W. Short, present financial membership was disappointing when it was realised that over 1000 pupils had passed through the school since its foundation in 1027. It was decided to co-opt ordinary members of the association to assist the executive in a drive for greater membership, and to circularise pupils regarding association activities for a year after they leave school. With Mr. W. Kees-George as convener, a special committee was established to investigate the possibilities of an annual dinner. Sound finances and a highly successful year were shown in the annual report. Oflicerd electcd were: Patron, Mr. K. J. Deilow; vice-presidents, Mr. an:! Mrs. J. W . Morrison, Miss J. Howie, Mr. VV. Kees-George; honorary -secretaries, Mr. J. S. Jones and Miss M. Yarnton; treasurer, Mr. W'. Free; auditor, Mr. R. Evans; executive, Misses J. Grav, P. Bomford, C. Mahon, J. Moilard" and Messrs. D. Minogue, B. X. Koberteon, G. Yarnton and A. S. Mackie.
