POWER EXTENSION.
HOROHORA AND NGAKURU. WORK TO BEGIN SHORTLY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. Work will commence next week upon the construction of the main powfer line which will serve the proposed power extension at Horohoro and Ngakuru. Com: mencement of this work, for which the money was granted some time ago, has been held up by the non-delivery of poles from Australia. Approximately 1400 poles will be required for the full echeme but to date only 200 have been delivered. However, it is considered that this number is sufficient to permit a start to be made, and the work will accordingly begin next week. It ift hoped that further supplies of poles will be received in time to allow the work to continue without interruption. The material necessary to carry out the extension has been on hand for some considerable time. Good progress is being made with the extension of the present power lines from Central Road corner to Hamurana.
