PROBLEM CLUB.
The first assembly afternoon of the Problem Club was held in the Penwomen's Club rooms and was a successful function. Airs. Carter, president, presided, and a report fr*m the Council of Women was given by Mrs. Bampton. Mr. Langstone, from the St. John's Ambulance Association, entertained with an address on "Air Raid Precaution." Violin solos were rendered by Mrs. Dixon, and vocal solos by Miss Stormont, Mrs. Reid being the accompanist. Among those present were: Mesdames Carter, Alderson, Hodgson, Lawson, Bruce, Rvalls, Kellam, Buckle, Millar, Rowe, Bampton, Legg, Sowman, Lindle, Legg, Beechy, Lees-Brown, GloverClark, Green, Titcliener, Ketteringham, Urquhart, Dobbie, Skipworth. Spencer, Sturdy, Pooley, Reid, Waites, Dixon and Miss Stormont.
