AUSTRALIAN INQUIRIES.
CANADIAN PARTY RETURNS.
Homeward bound after a brief period in Australia, during which inquiries were made into the social legislation and financial system, the Premier of Ontario, Canada, the Hon. M. F. Hepburn, the Hon. Colin A. Campbell, Minister of Public Work*, and Mr. Chester Walters, deputy - provincial treasurer, returned by the Mariposa to-day. Mr. Hepburn said that he had no considered opinion to offer as yet regarding his inquiries, but that he had been definitely impressed with what he had seen. "I was even more impressed with the wonderful hospitality of Australia," lie said.
Immediately after the arrival of the liner the Canadian party were taken by car to Hamilton, inspecting the dairy lends of the Waikato on the way. Mr. Hepburn is e practical farmer and is considerably interested in New Zealand farming condition*.
