WEEK-END PRICES IN SHOPS. FURTHER DROP IN LAMB. BANANAS SCARCE AND DEAR. Increasing supplies of new season'* fruit have eqine forward this week, peaches and i plume selling fairly cheaply. The first Bon Chretien pears of the season have appeared in the shops at Od a lb. Ripe bananas are etill scarce and dear, and fresh supplies landed by the Matua are still green. Butchers have made a further all-round reduction of Id a lb in the price of spring lamb. Egg prices are unchanged.
