TABLE POTATOES CHEAPER.
ONION MARKET STILL FIRM. j PUKEKOHE PRODUCE PRICES. | A drop of 3/6 per cwt in the price of Fukekolie table potatoes, and 1/6 per sugar bag for carrots, is the only appreciable alteration in vaiues this week of 1 ukekohe garden produce, compared with last week. While supplies of other vegetables are normal, the market for beetroot, French beans and marrows has firmed slightly, prices having been advanced 6d per lot on the previous week. Listed prices follow: Local table potatoes, 8/6 per cwt; local table onions, 15/6 per cwt (market still firm); pickling onions. 15/6 per cwt. iresh vegetables direct from the paddock: Cabbage, special drumhead, 7/6 per large sack, 5/6 a super bag; Enfield market cabbage, 5/6 a super bag; carrots, 7 6 per sugar bag; beetroot, 5/ per sugar bag; green peas, market rates; French beans, 7/6 per case; marrows, 4/6 a dozen; Red Warren pumpkins. 12/ per cwt; rhubarb, 4/6 a dozen bundles; lettuce, 4/6 a banana case. Tomatoes, ripe or firm, are quoted at 6/ per case of 181b, the same as last week. Warmer weather conditions are now prevailing and supplies of tomatoes are expected to be oeavier.
