The Ashhurst - Pohangina Racing Club's annual meeting was held to-day in ideal weather. The track was fast. There was a very large attendance. An inquiry into alleged interference by Gay Chou with Sporting Gift in the Raumai Handicap held up the payout, but the judicial committee decided it had not affected the result and no action was taken.
