WAITEHATA POWER DISTRICT An increase in revenue of £14,759 for the nine months ended December 31. 1938, is shown in the financial returns of tlie Waitemata Electric Power Board. At the board's meeting yesterday it was reported that during the nine-mnnths period, 882 new consumers. 521 ranges, 459 waterheaters, 250 milking machines and 205 industrial motors had been connected to the system. Consumers totalled 14.197 and there were 3616 ranges, 3249 waterheaters, 1323 milking motors and 1837 industrial motors connected with the system at the end of the year. The report of the manager, Mr. A. Main, stated that these were record numbers of new consumers, ranges, waterheaters and milking motors. "Last month was a particularly busy month for installations of all descriptions. The connections shown indicate that the new business is all being done in the established areas and is general over the whole of the board's district," stated the report.
