CROQUET PARTY.

The president and members of Mount Hobson Croquet Club entertained the members of the club who were successful at the North Inland championships, held in Auckland recently. At the afternoon tea recess Mrs. T. Wetherilt. president, congratulated Mrs. Hilton, runner-up for the ladies' champion singles. Mrs. Hickson. runner-up for the handicap singles, and Mesdames Hard lev and Torrance, runners-up for the champion doubles. Mrs. D. Harvey, past president, also gave her congratulations to the ladies. Mrs. Torrance replied 011 behalf of the guests of honour. Progressive croquet was played and the prizes were won by Mesdames Hickson. Margison and Edgar (A grade), and Mrs. Lancaster. Miss Bowden and Mrs. Black (B grade).
