OBITUARY.
MS. H. K. MAT. (By Telegraph.— Own Correspon3*nt.) WHANGAREI, this day. The death occurred in the Whangarei Public Hospital this morning of Mr. Horace Knight May, in hie seventy-ninth year. He was born at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England, and came to New Zealand in IBS 4 with his brother in the sailing ship Rangitiki. Mr. May was tor many years superintendent of the Baptist Sunday School in Poneonby, Auckland. One of hi* treasured possessions was a photograph in which he is shown with his pupils, many of whom are now prominent Auckland citizens. Mr. May wa* well known throughout New Zealand as a breeder of dogs and poultry, and could claim to have introduced the Indian Runner <iuck to the Dominion. He came to Whanaarei :5H years ago and took up residence in Cross Street. Lntil last year he was a regular exhibitor at local shows, and his services a* a judge of flowers, fruit, poultry and dogs were given as far afield as Wellington. ° He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Gardner, of Wellington.
