AWARDED FIRST PRIZE.
AUCKLAND ARCHITECT. (By Telejrrnpb.—Press Association.) WELLIXOTOX, Monday. The Pctone Borough Council to-night unanimously approved the choice of the adjudicator. Mr. W. Cray Young, in its competition for a Centennial memorial bathing |>avilion design, in awarding first place, which carries a £100 prize, to Mr. Horace L. Massey. architect, of Auckland. Second place and a £25 -prize was awarded to Mr. Bernard W. Johns, of Wellington. There were 13 entrants. . The memorial will be erected on the Petone foreshore, where the first settlers landed.
