CHRISTMAS RALLY.

An enjoyable programme of songß and dance items was presented at the To Papapa Parents, Teachers and 1 Residents' Association's social held at the school last week. The rooms, decorated with balloons and streamers and ferns, were Jilled to overflowing. During the evening a presentation of a bouquet of Christmas lilies and a. beautiful; .reading lamp was made to Mr. and- Mrs. Kiddell, who have assisted so willingly in supplying the music for the socials. Another feature of the evening was the enjoyable items rendered by Xew Zealand's youngest boy drummer, Billy Clough. The success of .the function was largely due to the' splendid work of'the committee. Two of the departing teachers, Miss Goddard and Miss Chambers, were. presented with bouquets. Mrs. Webster, wife of the., headmaster,' and the secretary, Mrs. Thomp-1 son, .also received bouquets.
