TEMPERANCE WORK.
YOUNG PEOPLE'S LEAGUE ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The Grey Lynn branch of the Young People's Christian Temperance Union held its annual meeting in the Great North Road Methodist Church on Saturday evening last. Mr. Len Wyatt, the president, was in the chair.
The officers' report showed the branch to be in a flourishing condition. It was decided unanimously that the poster committee, formed during the last campaign, should be continued as a permanent committee. The president gave an excellent address on the subject of "Faith."
The following officers were elected for 1939: —President, Mr. Len Wyatt (reelected) ; vice-president, Miss X. McClure; secretary, Mr. R. Simpson; treasurer. Mr. A. McCliire; press reporter. Mr. S. Chapman; district representative. Mr. C. Hill; evangelistic superintendent. Miss V. Hullah; temperance fact superintendent, Mr. Kelvin Fry; sick visitor, Mrs. Deason; backblock committee, Mr. G. McC'ltire and Miss V. Hullah; home meeting superintendent, Miss X. McClure; poster committee. Messrs. C. Hill. S. Chapman and K. Fry; social committee, Miss V. Hullah and Mr. R. Simpson.
