HYDATIDS IN DOGS.
OOMPULSOEY TREATMENT.
The Inder-Secretary of the Internal Affairs Department advised the Onehunga Borough Council at its meetinglast evening that regulations had been issued for the adoption of a certain preparation for treatment of do«s for prevention of hydatids. The letter stated that a fee of 1/ had been fixed for each dog registered, and the council would be compelled to supply to each dog owner a dose of the drug when the animal was registered. " The remedv would be supplied in bulk to the council at the rate «>f 9d per dog. Mr L F. Catt asked if the mixture would be available for cats, as thev also were subject to hydatids.
The Mayor said he thought not The letter wa* received.
