A narrow escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr. Keith Hollis and Mr. Arthur Read, both of Whakatane, when a motor car in which they were travelling from Whakatanc to Gi.*borne left the road and capsized on a sharp turn near the Opotiki-Whaka-tanc boundary. The car came to rest on its hood, which was badly damaged. Mr. Read suffered an injury to his right hand.
