RAILWAYMAN'S SERVICE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. With 38 years' service with the Rail way Department to his credit, Mr Frederick Pickup, who has been officei in charge of the Claudelands railwaj station for the last 22 years, will retire on superannuation on Wednesday. Mr Pickup joined the railway service as t plate-layer, and after 13 years waf transferred to the traffic branch.
