NEARLY £300.

STREET APPEAL RESULT. LIFE-SAVING CLUBS BENEFIT. A total of £284 resulted from the joint street appeal of the Surf Lifesaving Association (Auckland) and the Auckland branch of the Royal Lifesaving Society yesterday. The Devonport returns, which were announced today, amounted to £27 15/1, while £2 10/ was collected at Green Lane. Representatives of the two associations to-day expressed satisfaction with the result of the appeal. Yesterday was the first, occasion on which the appeal of the two organisations had not been associated with those of other bodies, and it was consequently expected that they would benefit more this year.
