"MURDER INTENT."
TWO GIRLS ACCUSED. RETIRED SCHOOLTEACHER. FOUND WITH HEAD INJURIES. (Special.—By Air Mail.) CARDIFF, November 2. Two 1.1-vear-old girls were accused at a special juvenile Court in Caerphilly, near Cardiff, of "feloniously causing grievous bodily harm" to 79-year-old Miss Emma Edwards, retired school teacher, "with intent in so doing to kill and murder her." Sergeant H. Kecvil said he charged the two girls in the presence of thoir parents, and they made certain replies. The girls were remanded in custody to a Salvation Army home at Cardiff. Miss Kdmund*, who lives in a semidetached cottage on the side of the Caerphilly mountain, was found lying under her bed with head injuries. Mr. Nolan Reran, a solicitor's clerk, was passing the house on his bicycle when he saw a girl run out of the house, shouting. "Call for the police at once." Mr. Bevan rushed to the police station without going into the house. Miss Edmunds was taken to Cardiff Infirmary.
