TEAMS FOR RICCARTON. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") 6 WELLINGTON, this day. A number of visiting horses are still at Trentham waiting to travel south for the New Zealand Cup meeting. L. <J. Morris, with The Buzzer, The Bigot awl Daniel Defoe, and J. H. Jefferd with Rakahanga, Lady Chat, Baran and Lord Midas, leave this evening. The remainder, including S. J. Heid with Brunhild and Nora McGregor, A. Cook with Te Hero, J. M. Cameron with Happy Landing, W. J. Wood with Iddo, and W. H. Corlett with Le Toquet, will probably go South on Monday. There was practically no galloping of account at Trentham this morning. The only one of note was a smooth nine furlongs on the plough by Boomerang, who ran the last mile in 1.45%, and the last half-mile in 52165. This gelding appears to have improved as the result of his recent racing. He will be ridden in the Cup by A. E. Bennett. Siegmund's trip is at present uncertain, but the probability is he will be on hand for the Cup, as his ability is better than his recent form. Te Hero seems to have settled down quite happily at Trentham. If anything, lie looks better for his racing last week. P. Burgees will ride him in the Steward** Handicap. Trentham trainers who are making the trip South next week are .T. W. Lowe (Sunee). H. A. Telford (Beaulivre, Sigurd and Royal Star II.). W. J. Wood (Arctic King). T. R. George (Boomeranc, Alunga, Peerless. Hinerawe. Trebor. and possibly Alloa), H. B. Lorigan (probably Prudent Prince and White Lady), McCauley (probably Siegmund). S. WiWin will ride .Arctic King, Ralca? hanga and Peerless at Riccarton, and W. J. Broughton Siegmund and Alunga. It.if probable that P. Atkins will transfet" from Nora McGregor to Beaulirre i»<* the Welcome Stakes, ami B. H. MotTiswill then take the mount on Xoraf Arctic Kine had to undergo an tion this week. A cyst oil an eyelid was beginning to grow in and press against the eyeball, so that it became advisable to have it removed. The operation was quite successful, and Arctic King was back on the track this morning with the disfiguring protruberance mwaing. His eyelid is already healing well.
