SILASSIE'S CROWN.
A JEWELLER'S CLAIM. OFFKRK TO XKLL FOR c>oo. (Special — By .\ir Mail.) LONDON. September 3. A "old crown, encrusted with 7IS diamond*, is offered for sale by a Harrogate jeweller. He claim* that it'once belonged to Haile Kmporor of Abyssinia.
The jeweller, Mr. .T. A. Tindall. said this week: "I will supply any prospective purchaser with adequate proof that this, crown was Haile Silasnie's. You can have it for £M){), but that is my lowest figure." Mr. Tindall would not say how he came to buv the crown.
A representative of " Haile Silassie would neither eonlirm nor deny that the crown once belonged to the Emperor.
