BOXING.
GILDO AND AITKEN
On Monday next at the Town Hall the Auckland Boxing Association have arranged another interesting contest in the professional lightweight bout of 12 three-minute rounds between Billy Aitken, of Wellington, and "Young Gildo," of Honolulu.
Aitken is noted for his aggressiveness and is probably the fastest and most difficult lightweight in the Dominion to "beat. This hard-hitting Wellington fighter has proved a stumbling block to the little Filipino during botli the letter's visits to this country and Gildo is now on the war- j path fully determined to exact revenge for j hie previous narrow defeats. * •*",
The supporting amateurs have been carefully chosen and it is hoped that at least two of Auckland's representatives at the New Zealand championships will feature ii| the jwlectod bout*,
