KeGRATH LIKELY TO COMPETE VENUE WILDING PARK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The New Zealand lawn tennis championships will be held at Wilding Park from December 31 to January 7. It is probable that V. B. .McGrath, one of Australia's leading players, will compete. A special meeting of .the management committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association was held to-day to consider a letter from the New Zealand Association, stating that McGrath had indicated that, if the dates fitted in with the dates of the Australian championships, he would consider competing. It was ako painted out in the letter that, if dates were agreed to, any other Australian players who competed could catch the Awatea on the return trip on January 10. It was agreed to fall'in with the New Zealand Association's recommendation and also to apply for December 24 to 28 as the dates for the Canterbury championships. A previous decision had been made to commence the provincial championships on December 26. — , t THREE KINGS CLUB. A good attendance marked the annual meeting of the Three Kings Tennis Club, when Mr. E. L. Adams presided. The annual report and balance-sheet revealed the progress and finances of a record year. The opening day was set down for October 1. Officers elected:—President, Mr. E. L. Adams: vice-presidents, Messrs. C. M. McCuUough, J. Donald, N. Partridge, P. Blewtien and N. Blncher: secretary, Miss N. M. Carran; treasurer, Mr. O. R. Arkell; captain, Mr. H. N. Clarke; ladies' captain, Mrs. R. Belcher; selectors, Messrs. P. .Bfewden and R. Irvine; auditor. Miss 1. Coyle: general committee. Misses D. Hannan, N. Carran and M. Franklin: Messrs. T. dhaicraft. P. Blewden. O. Goldfinch, D. Bigham and J. Irvine; delegates to the association, Messrs. B. L. Adams, O. R, Arkell. I
