THE QUEEN ELIZABETH.
LAUNCHING PLANS MADE British Official Wireless. (Received 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, September 2. Arrangements have been practically completed for the launching on the Clyde on September 27 by the Queen of the sister ship to the Queen Marv, which Her Majesty will christen Queen Elizabeth. Plans for tiie launching of this immense vessel have necessitated the most careful thought, but complete confidence is expressed in the arrangements made, for which important data has been made available as a result of study of the film of the launching of her sister ship, and of experiments conducted in a tank with a model weighing about a ton. ~
The launching of Queen Elizabeth will be broadcast to listeners throughout the world. The voices of both the Queen, who will perform the ceremony, and the King, will be heard- Crowd? are expected to total between 300.000 and *00,000. :
