APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, September I. The King has approved the appointment of Brigadier G. N. Macreadv, C.M.G., D.5.0., as chief of the British military mission to the Egyptian Army, in October. Brigadier Macreadv, who has been Deputy-Director of Staff Duties at the War Office since 1930, will be promoted major-geiieral. Among other appointments is that of Colonel A. F. Smith, D.5.0., M.C.. at present officer commanding the Coldstream Guards and the 4th Guards Brigade, to bo brigadier-general of the staff of the British troops in Egypt.
