British-American Trade Pact. LOSSES TO FRUIT GROWERS. VANCOUVER, September 1. Forecasts from London that the United States will be granted lower wheat rates and free entry of fresh and dried fruits under the trade treaty with Britain have caused dismay to Canadian fruit growers. Apple growers in the Okanagan district, British Columbia, predict a loss of 000,000 dollars annually.
The wheat producers have already demanded the retention of their preference.
