REVUE SUCCESS.
"HOLLYWOOD HOTEL" COMPANY. A brilliant ballet and lavish spectacle I are the outstanding features of the "HollyMood Hotel ' Revue, which continues to 'rV big houses to His Majesty's iheatre. .The whole show, however is; on a general standard that is higher than that 01 most revue companies that have visited Auckland, and most of the aitists are classed with America's best—which is a high recommendation. Produced by Harry Howard, considered by many to be y\ e successor to the great KJorenz Ziegfeld, the scenic effects are amazinglv enective, and superb arti.strv is displaved throughout. _ Supporting the ballet girls is an array of "Hollywood Honevs"' whose charm and beauty have been "glorified" and undressed to a stage rarely seen before in Auckland. It cannot be said, how e\ er. that in doing this anv of the artistic attractiveness has been lost. The beauty of the settings and grace of the performers precludes any possible offensiveness. Ihe indi\ ldual daneei*s are excellentJune and .Tack Blair and .Tack Whitney present some high-class specialty acts, while Wlnteys Apple Dancers give a whirlwind demonstration of the latest Bip Apple dance craze. Head and hand JV; « Kl . ni ? V , Frank Pi,rk and Robert t linord is. perhaps, the outstanding sin-le item on the programme, and these two men are probably the best acrobats of their type ever seen here. The comedy is in the capable hands of Martv Mav" as wZ .i ? l . , oroni :'"'r, S an<l the Unions Houaid brothers. Willie and Eugene This no. though a little overworked, make! the show go with a swing and keen the I audience ;n continual good humour.
