MORE TENDERS LET.
GOVERNMENT HOUSES. AUCKLAND AXD PROVINCE. (From Our Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The acceptance of tenders for the construction of further Government houses in various parts of the Auckland province was announced to-day by Mr. J. A- ee ' Parliamentary Under-Secretary m Charge of Housing. The tenders which have been let in Auckland are as follow: — Fletcher Construction Company. Limited, 19 houses at West mere. C,2 houses at Point IHe va her. and five houses at St. ilcUers; Ml-. Pattison. eight houses at Joint Chevalier; Mr. W. A. Phillips, three houses at Point Chevalier; Mr. iK. P. Maddren, seven houses at Point [thevalier; Mr. Ci. Britton, nine houses at Avotidale; Mr. T. Clements, seven houses at Otahuhu; Messrs. White i Brothers 11 houses at Otahuhu; Mr. A. H. Beamish, two houses on the Sunshine Block; Mr. A. Allen, one twohouse unit at Dcvonport. Contracts let in other parts of tlie Auckland province are Hamilton Cooperative Builders. 12 houses at Hamilton; Mr. W. Wylde, six houses at Opotiki; Mr. T. H. Tanjrney, three singlehouse units at Gisborne.
. purchase of land sufficient for six houses in Kerr Street, Dcvonport, lias also been approved. Another contract of importance announced by Mr. Lee is that of the Fletcher Construction Company for the erection of 99 houses at Khandallah, Wellington.
